Racehorse Pre-Training

Preparation, Conditioning & Mental Reset

What We Offer

Combining industry experience with a natural, low-pressure environment, we prepare horses to return to training stronger, more balanced, and mentally settled. Unlike traditional training environments, our setting offers space, variety, and a quieter atmosphere—allowing horses to reset, develop, and strengthen both physically and mentally.

A Well-Rounded Approach

With hands-on experience, Peta understands the demands of the racing industry and what is required to prepare horses for work.

While each horse’s program is tailored individually, racehorses are integrated into a broader training environment that prioritises long-term soundness, mental clarity, and overall wellbeing. This allows them to return to the track more balanced, more relaxed, and better prepared for the demands of racing. Ideal for young horses beginning their preparation, or those requiring a mental and physical reset between racing campaigns.

Ideal for:

  • Horses between racing preparations

  • Young horses starting early education

  • Horses requiring mental reset

  • Sensitive or overfaced horses

  • Horses needing strength and balance development

We provide a structured yet relaxed pre-training environment, designed to support both the physical conditioning and mental wellbeing of the horse.

Away from the intensity of the track, horses benefit from a quieter setting where they can develop strength, balance, and confidence without unnecessary pressure. Our work focuses on creating horses that are:

  • Mentally settled

  • Physically prepared

  • Responsive and rideable

  • Ready to transition back into race training

Our Approach

Environment & Exposure

A key advantage of our program is the environment.

With access to farmland, varied terrain, and a natural working farm setting, horses are exposed to a wide range of experiences that support both their physical development and mental resilience.

This type of work allows racehorses to:
  • Relax and decompress mentally
  • Build strength across varied ground
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Develop confidence outside of a track setting
We find this balance is invaluable—particularly for young or sensitive horses, or those needing a reset between training preparations.

  • Exposure to varied terrain and environments

  • Calm, consistent handling

  • Individualised training programs
