Behavioural Issues

The pony that started it all, Cookie—pictured —was my first love and a green-broke pony with plenty of niggles to work through. Looking back now, those early challenges shaped the way I understand horses today.

Assessment

We are happy to assist with horses experiencing behavioural or training challenges within their partnership.

All horses are assessed to the best of our ability prior to commencing any training plan, with a strong focus on ensuring they are comfortable and appropriate for work before progression begins.

Our priority is always to do right by the horse. Where necessary, and in consultation with owners, we work alongside trusted veterinarians, equine physiotherapists, hoof care professionals, and nutrition specialists to ensure a holistic approach.

This collaborative process helps prevent the escalation of issues and ensures the horse is physically and mentally supported throughout their training.

Rehabilitation & Training Approach

Following assessment, we develop a realistic and structured plan tailored to the individual horse and situation.

In many cases, our Schooling and Mileage & Exposure programs are highly beneficial in rebuilding confidence, clarity, and willingness. The focus is always on creating a horse that is comfortable, understood, and able to communicate clearly through their work.
